Our company supplies flooding systems that are based on Co2 (Carbon Dioxide) gas. Co2 is used in the system due to its high ratio of expansion that facilitates rapid discharge and allows three-dimensional penetration of the entire hazard area quickly. CO2 extinguishes a fire by reducing the oxygen content of the protected area below the point where it can support combustion. The extreme density of CO2 assists in permeating the protected hazard area effectively and suppresses the fire. Due to the rapid expansion of the 4-6 inches of CO2 snow to gas, the ambient temperature is reduced in the protected hazard area.
